TAMPA, Fla. -- Mitt Romney wasn't the only person making a crucial stage debut Thursday night. A few miles from the Tampa Bay Times Forum, where Romney accepted the Republican nomination for president, Gloria, a willowy 18-year-old with long, brown hair, prepared to take her first turn on center stage at Alibi, a strip club near the airport.
Like Romney, Gloria had a lot riding on her performance -- possibly more than he did. She needed money, badly. Sitting at the bar, shivering in a tiny black bikini, the new mother said she had a $400 electric bill to pay this month, plus what she guessed were an extra $400 to $600 in expenses for her and her 9-month old daughter.
A few days ago, she said, she had been fired from another club, The Pink Pony, after another dancer who was accused of smoking in the bathroom blamed Gloria. "I always smoke outside," said Gloria, who, like others interviewed in this story, would give only her first name. "But they told me not to come back."

We enjoyed our time in this spacious and well appointed villa. The location is so tranquil everyone is guaranteed a relaxing stay. We were in town for my step-son's national lacrosse tournament couldn't have found a better, nicer place to stay. Other parents from our team were staying in hotels which they were paying close to what we paid to stay in a large, new zealand rental car clean, beautiful villa. The view from the outdoor veranda was absolutely beautiful since we had to be up early every morning for games it was an added treat so see the the sun rise overlooking such a gorgeous view. We are not golfers at all so I can only imagine the paradise an actual golfer would be in by staying here. We did, however, enjoy the use of the golf cart. We highly recommend it we will be back if our future travels take us there!

We stayed in a hotel for the first 2 nights, and paid double what this place cost for a tiny room. This apartment is 2 bed, 2 bath, exceptionally clean, has a fully stocked kitchen, cable TV, and beds that are as comfortable as any top tier hotel. There s a balcony and a relaxing lake view, and the location is perfect - 2 miles in any direction gets you to good restaurants, a large mall, and a 10 minute journey to Ybor, downtown or Busch Gardens. I ve stayed in a LOT of serviced apartments, and this was probably the cleanest - a lot of places say they are, but you find signs of live-in. Not here! This apartment credit cards offering airline miles is spotless and it s one of the few times I ve felt a cleaning fee was actually earned.
The service was also exceptional. We had a situation with a tree landing on our car, and Neysa and Janice spent all morning (on a Saturday!) to speak with our rental company and get it fixed for us. That speaks volumes of how they run things. They also let me pay the rent by PayPal which was very handy.

Cheryl was very accomodating and I contacted her several times with questions - she always provided a quick and satisfying answer. We did several things comfort inn hotel in the area, and while we had to drive 30 min. on more than one day, we found this house to be central to many of the things we were interested in. We were pretty tired from a two day car trip with our two dogs, but found the property was even better than described - everything you could possibly need was readily available! This home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and extremely well cared for by its owner. There was an instruction booklet pertaining to all appliances, etc., so no concerns on how to use something. A big plus is the doggie dooley in the backyard to dispose of you dog s daily duty. We were visiting our son, his wife and our 4 grandchildren (who were thrilled with the lighing on the fence around the pool). Perfect spot for military family passing through for a couple weeks. We stayed here in August 2010. Place was spotless. Easy access to Tampa; 75 minutes to Orlando. Good space for small family (not a lot of room for family bigger than 5.) Quiet neighborhood, close to freeway. Pool area really fun, especially for little kids. Property owner is awesome and always ready to help. House is well maintained and easy. Smooth rental transaction. Couldn t have been a better experience! Thanks! I also love VRBO!
Cheryl, Thanks so much for letting us stay at your home. Everything was perfect. The home is well kept, you have thought of everything anyone could ever want to use in the kitchen! We will come back, it worked out so well for us with our two Giant Schnauzers. We went for walks every day and I was able to do grooming in the garage, since I was showing a dog at the Brooksville dog show. Since we use to live in the area we were familiar and went to several of our favorite local restaurants and our favorite, close by for sunset on the water at Bahia Beach. Again, comfort inn hotel thanks so mch for making our time there enjoyable for us and our dogs!
Just as sweet as my home. All necessary things supplied and even things beyond your expectation (office supplies that you need on Christmas day when all the store are closed, but you find it in the house. What a life saver!). The owner is very nice and thoughtful. Definite recommend for families.
My family and I throughly enjoyed our home away from home! The house and neighborhood were both very inviting and convenient to stores, restaurants, and the highway. The house was very organized and comfortable and the pool/patio area was a great spot to relax in the evenings. We had a wonderful time and hope that others will get the opportunity to enjoy it too!
