In today's pit blog we catch sets Ernie Cortazar rental cars in charlotte nc III aka "Water Daddy" for his birthday, Twin Atlantic, James Corbi, Four Year Strong, Iwrestledabearonce, I Call Fives, and Miss May I. We also catch up with Jon C. at the TRUTH truck, and we go to Warped Prom 2012!
Day 38 of Warped was so much fun at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH! I met a lot of awesome fans in line before doors. One of the cooler things I came across was a psychedilic painting a fan had done of Mod Sun-- Warped fans are SO talented!! My day started off with birthday-boy shenanigans over in the Acoustic Basement for Ernie Cortazar III's special set. For those who don't know, Ernie handles all of the ice and water for the tour. He also rides on my bus, so it was great to celebrate his birthday and see his talents on guitar! Afterwards I swung by the Silent Disco for a raging dance party! The Silent Disco has definitely been one of my favorite attractions this summer. Since I'm not a mosh-pit girl (sorry!) it's nice to throw on a pair of headphones and bust out the dance moves-- plus, they have a great line up of DJs all summer long! (DJ Saucy and Wick-It The Instagator are my favorites!) Over on the Kevin Says stage it was time to check out Twin Atlantic. rental cars in charlotte nc I've heard a ton a buzz about this band, and they certainly didn't disappoint. In fact, a lot of the bands on the Kevin Says stage have been worth checking out-- I have certainly found a ton of new favorite rock bands on this tour and I will be adding Twin Atlantic to that list! Back in the Acoustic Basement I caught James Corbi's set. He's part of the Man Overboard crew, and it was really cool to see him perform solo. There's so much unseen talent rental cars in charlotte nc on this tour, and it was awesome to see it being showcased at the Cincy show! As I headed out of the Acoustic Basement, I caught up with Jon C. at the Truth Truck. I have passed by the TRUTH setup all summer long and seen some crazy things-- intense rock-paper-scissor competitions, dance offs, and even a giant game of hot-potato and have always asked "what are those people doing?!!" Well they let me know that they have a variety of games where you can win a whole bunch of awesome prizes-- everything from skate decks to t-shirts! Stop by the Truth Truck (it's always blasting the best beats!) and see what you can win! Next door on the DigiTech stage, I heard some familiar voices and sure enough it was Four Year Strong unplugged! Over on the Ernie Ball stage I caught Iwrestledabearonce. There was a massive crowd surrounding the truck stage before I got there and I just knew this was going to be a great set. Fill-in vocalist Courtney LaPlante has done an amazing job this summer with them. I really rental cars in charlotte nc enjoyed seeing them live, as did there mega crowd in Cincinnati! Back on the Kevin Says stage I caught the very talented band, I Call Fives. These NJ pop punk rockers have a catchy sound and are also one to add to my Warped favorites list this summer-- definitely check them out! Back in the pavilion at the Kia Rio and Kia Soul mainstages fans were filling in every seat-- when the mainstages combine, the crowd really becomes endless! Fans were dancing away for All Time Low and rocking out to Pierce The Veil as the sun began to set on the Riverbend Music Center. The show closed out with Ohio metal-band, Miss May I. For this psuedo hometown show, the mosh pits went extra hard. \m/ After the Cincinnati show it was time to trade in the cameras, throw on a dress (made from a black VANS t-shirt, no less) and head to prom with my 5 handsome dates-- Yellowcard.
