I took a tour of Angel Falls, but it was only on a small airplane. It was gorgeous as we flew over the jungle in between these cool mountains and looped exotic car rental in hawaii around the falls a couple of times. We then stopped at another falls and had lunch. They are both a few flights away Angel falls is more difficult because its in the middle of no where.. you can either from Macaus in Brazil or you can fly from Caracas. The flight is roughly 2-3 hours plus the time to get to the falls which can take roughly an entire day. Margarita is just a few hours via flight

hi i willbe going with my husband in may, i was born i caracas i know it isnt the safest but who do u recommend we go thru to find tour groups an such that wont try to rip us off? also if i stay in caracas downtown ,what safe options do i have to get to margarita? how far is it?
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS is one if you are in the wrong area, very spontaneous (in a bad way because things can get bad very quickly). On the upside that people are very friendly very open I would love to help anyone
My husband has been to Venezuela several times and it is a country he unfortunately has no desire to go back to he also felt unsafe, he dealt with totally exotic car rental in hawaii corrupt officials and there were way too many snakes in the jungle for his liking. Head to a town called Cucuta and cross the border there.. its one of the safest regions in the country and you can access Merida which is one of the most touristic cities in the country with an 8 hour drive
Liz go to Manaus, Brazil and then go up by land and then you can buy a tour in Venezuela instead of before hand. You may want to look for a tour company that will sell you a tour starting from Brazil that would be the best option. My advice.. AVOID CARACAS AT ALL COSTS.

As long as you aren t going to be spending a lot of time in Caracas, you ll be fine. Merida, Margarita, and the Amazon (middle of nowhere) are among the safest places to be in the country, and you d only be in the Caracas airport for a few hours if you were planning on going to any of the other destinations. While I admit that Caracas isn t too good of a city for a foreigner to be in unless you have friends/family to show you around, provided you stay smart and stay out of dodgy areas, you ll be able to stay out of trouble. I have been to Venezuela exotic car rental in hawaii many time and all my family say that most of Venezuela s bad reputation comes from Caracas, while most other areas are relatively safe.
Gabriel I would have to disagree with your comment not going to spend a lot of time in Caracas .. Caracas is one of the most dangerous places in the world and I would highly recommend that everyone AVOID THE CITY at all costs. The airport delays are atrocious as well. I would agree that the places you mentioned aren t as dangerous but it is still Venezuela and you have to keep an extra eye out just in case. Otherwise.. I would definitely agree with you!
Venezuela has a lot of nature like Canaima, Amazonas, exotic car rental in hawaii Roraima, Gran Sabana, Orinoco Delta, Humboldt route, Merida, Chroroni, Los Roques, Margarita island but it isn`t recommend to visit the big cities alone.
Khalid.. really would depend on the weather as well as the level of water. The level of water is highest during the rainy season which is now so at the end of the year the water should be a bit lower and all you would have to count on is good weather
