Kristina K. is a middle school history teacher from Louisiana. coupon car rental ontario canada Having been a tour chaperone, she'll be leading her first EF Explore America tour in April. She kindly shared her thoughts on New Group Leader coupon car rental ontario canada Orientation .
The whole experience coupon car rental ontario canada was very personal and tailored. Members of the orientation team explained just what they do to make our tours happen. You got a good sense of what goes into planning a tour, exactly from the people who do it. A member of the flights team took you through how they will book your flights. A pre-departure specialist walked us through coupon car rental ontario canada what to expect in the weeks leading up to tour. A member of customer service explained their role working coupon car rental ontario canada with students and parents. You really got a good feel of how everything comes together.
The staff is also with us the whole weekend, so they helped field specific questions about tours. Two experienced group leaders, coupon car rental ontario canada who are part of the Educational Travel Advisor program and have done several tours with their students, were on hand too.
And as far as what it's like to be on tour, we lived it! We got to get out and explore Boston with an EF EF Explore America Tour Director. I've been on tour before as a chaperone, so I had sense of what to expect. I thought Mitch, coupon car rental ontario canada our Tour Director, did a great job of pointing out just what we ll be doing as group leaders during tour.
Orientation gives you plenty of information and experience coupon car rental ontario canada to prepare for a successful and fun tour. I would say just as important is the chance to meet other teachers and the EF EF Explore America staff. The energy of all these people coming together is incredible. We really feed off each other, because we all share an enthusiasm for giving students the chance to travel. And it's not just the teachers, it's clear the staff shares that same passion.
I came away with some really great ideas for my tour and for fundraising from my fellow orientation attendees. And now that I've gotten to know the staff better, I feel so comfortable knowing that I can truly call them anytime or have them Skype with my students or parents to answer questions.
I'm a teacher, so I know how busy we all are. A weekend away can seem like a big commitment. But having been in those shoes, I can say I would not have traded this trip for anything. It's well worth the weekend away.
And I know people sometimes get nervous about going away when they don't know anyone else who will be there, or they are worried about sharing a room. To that I say: there's really no need to worry! You're going to meet teachers who are just like you and staff who are friendly and fun. My roommate and I are now Facebook friends and we've chatted and shared ideas a couple of times since we've come back from orientation.
