We began our visit to  Seaworld Orlando  as early as we could enter the park.  We were slightly enterprise rent a car discount code late so we got there about a half hour after the park opened.  There were some long lines at counters and kiosks to get tickets.  Thankfully we got our tickets before hand and could skip the line.  (You can order them directly through Pathway Voyages!)  Once we entered the gate we went to get our dining plan.  We had purchased that ahead as well but it said to take it to the information desk for a wristband.  This part was a little confusing and we had to stand in line about 10 minutes but once they got to us it went quickly.  I found out that I could’ve gone to a kiosk outside and done it as well.  To redeem the dining plan you turn in your purchase receipt and they give you tickets.  Take the tickets to a participating restaurant and the first one you visit will give you a wristband.  After that all you have to do is go through a line and show them your wristband to get food.  It was a great plan and saved a lot of money from buying as we went.  It was all you could eat as well.

After some rides and exhibits we saw the first of many wildlife shows.  Dolphins, Sea Lions and of course Killer Whales like Shamu.  Each were a high quality production with music, acrobatics, animals and comedy.  It’s amazing to see the dolphins and whales to the big jumps at the perfect time.  They are amazing creatures.  Each show also emphasized taking care of animals, the ocean and other ecological things.  They were about dreaming big and miracles.  We were impressed that the Christmas shows had such a focus that it wasn’t just secular Santa and the elves stuff but about the “child born to bring peace to earth”.  At one point in the Christmas Shamu show there was a singer belting out “Joy to the World” as the whales did a big leap and it really was like all of creation was praising God!
Near the end of the day we decided to go on the sky tower.  This rotating elevator rises about Seaworld for some great panoramic views.  It was cool to look down on all the attractions and stage shows.  We could see a little of the behind the scenes areas.  Going up just before dark was a great time.  There was just enough daylight but some of the Christmas lights were already on.
