One of the great gems of Los Angeles is a historic apartment community built in 1924 by Charlie Chaplin's luxury cruise vacation dallas travel agency studio stage crew. The property is made up of character-filled bungalows and includes a total of 25 apartments. It was originally built to house Hollywood actors, staff and crew, but the current apartment dwellers have nicknamed luxury cruise vacation dallas travel agency the community "The Shire."
Annie is an actor and casting director, but always wondered if she should have attended design school, since she has a passion for architecture and interiors. When decorating, Annie loves to use objects for unintended purposes. Did you notice the round suitcase in the living room housing her lingerie? luxury cruise vacation dallas travel agency But by far my favorite unintended use is the hat that she uses as a lamp shade.

Marcia is an interior, portrait, and travel photographer and has photographed over 50 homes of creatives. Her photographic luxury cruise vacation dallas travel agency style is capturing her subject in the most natural state and creating an emotional response.
I love how quirky cabin-like this place is, what a gem. And someone who moves as much as I do! Annie, what do you do with all your stuff when you move? Put it in storage or take it all with you? Sell it and start from scratch?
Awwwwwww, what a super cute and extremely well organized home! I love it. It's totally not my style, per se, and yet I can see myself loving it. It's so coherent luxury cruise vacation dallas travel agency in decor style; all the vintage and boho elements tie everything together just perfectly. WELL DONE! :)
I'm interested in the shoes that line the wall in that one photo. HOW are the held up? With what kind of rack? I like this idea, I live in a tiny house and shoe storage is a challenge for me... Can you elaborate?
A fabulous place to live in! If the walls could talk the tales they would tell! The stark naked woodwork give off a nostalgic aroma of it's own. How delightfully charming you kept the decor harmony united to it's famous history.
This has got to be one of the best tours so far, non-traditional, full of history, small space and so well done. I had to look through this slowly and look several times to see all the neat things and interesting DIY's. I love the idea of coat hooks for shoe storage, I am definitely stealing that. You seem like the coolest person too, full of stories from numerous travels.
Are these the little 'Bungalows' we see in some of Chaplin's (and other early film star's) short skits, promo, and other footage during his era? That's the thrust of the Adorableness and Awesome Vibes to be found within the Abodes. Love the building re-use in {{Triple Somersaults}}
Absolutely ADORE this home, the tour and delightful owner! This is why I look at AT every day. I seem to recall that another of these homes was on the Small/Cool a year or two ago, but I don't remember that it had such a homey vibe as this one does.
I am happy to read that the pew/bookcase is something Chaplin designed and I am guessing original to the unit...nice to see that it is preserved and in use. How wonderful is that fireplace, no wonder the residents call this place the Shire.
One of the things I like the most is that the wood interior was left alone. There are times when inexpensive wood (or faux wood?) panelling just has to go - however, when the wood is as charming as it is here, it should be left as it is. Ditto the kitchen, which is much more interesting as its old self rather than rushing to replace it with new this and that. The quirky decorating touches just add to the feeling of stepping back in time, while they are also fresh and an insight into this young woman's personality (fun!!!).
Love these non-traditional spaces! What a treasure. I love it when every corner and nook has a function and special purpose. And I loved the advice about treasuring the little things and mementos. A sofa can be replaced! The special things cannot.
