An often-asked question on the Travelfish.org Vietnam forum is, "Should I book my flights in advance or when I get to Vietnam ?" The answer depends on a number of factors, most notably when and where you want to fly, how flexible your flight times are and what your budget is. I m not disagreeing that travel by airplane is not good for the environment, but let us put some realism in here: would you rather spend 2 hours on an airplane or 48 hours on a bus? Travelling by air may not be ideal but it is often the only practical option, and in addition I am not sure whether plano convertible car rental 48 hours on 4 x old buses is really that much more friendlly than a 1 x two hour flight.
