There are more "non-smoking" options in Paris now then ever. We've seen it happen with a surprising

We are planning a trip to Paris Munich in December. I haven't been to Europe in 20 years when everyone smoked everywhere. What are the policies now? We are both allergic to smoke would not be able to stay in a hotel room that has been smoked in. I can't imagine restaurants allowing smoking since it interferes with the dining experience.
There are more "non-smoking" options in Paris now then ever. We've seen it happen with a surprising rapidity since 1998. Most restaurants in Paris are non-smoking, and every hotel we've stayed in since then have had few rooms that permit smoking.
HOWEVER - smoking is allowed outside - and that's where the chronic smokers go to eat. Very recently, online hotel reservation florence there was an "adjustment" to the definition of what is "outside" in cases where there is an outside online hotel reservation florence section that is inclosed on 3 or 4 sides by loose removable tent-like material - like you often see in Paris in winter. I don't recall what the adjustment was - but I think it was in favor of smokers. We don't dine outside any more - unless the tables are very far apart (in which case we choose a corner table).
I believe hotels online hotel reservation florence designate online hotel reservation florence smoking and non smoking rooms; many hotels are completely non-smoking. Their smoking policy online hotel reservation florence will be stated on the hotel web sites. You should have no problem avoiding smoke in hotels or restaurants.
Most of the hotels I've seen anything about in Paris are completely nonsmoking (the smaller ones, which are the ones I look at, usually 2-3*). The only ones I know of that even have smoking rooms are the larger online hotel reservation florence chain/ modern business hotels. It is easier for smaller hotels to be completely nonsmoking than comply with the requirements for having smoking rooms.
oh, BTW, in Paris, the hotels that are now nonsmoking did have smoking rooms or no policy before the new law, so there isn't any way you can guarantee being in a room that has never ever been smoked in other than to book a new hotel.
