CPT's London South East Region took a party of operators to Ireland last month to show what Ireland has to offer.  Organised in conjunction with Tourism Ireland and Stena Line, the group enjoyed the sights of Dublin and Northern Ireland, and took in a fascinating tour of the Wrightbus factory in Ballymena.
Travelling with Epsom Coaches, the group arrived at Holyhead to be greeted with news of an upgrade to the exclusive Stena Plus lounge.  Luxurious surroundings, a calm sea, and free refreshments, certainly got the tour off to a good start!
In Dublin the group stayed at the Central Hotel, a charming traditional three star hotel with a wonderful history and ideally located in the heart of Dublin City.  The Church restaurant, a converted church which has five different settings over four floors, was the venue for a well-earned dinner.
Arriving in Belfast later that afternoon, the group were welcomed to the Europa Hotel for a three night stay a fabulous hotel in the heart of the City.  In Belfast the group enjoyed a tour of the City, visited the Titanic's Dock Pump House, the new Titanic Experience, the Folk Transport Museum in Holywood, and the Giant's Causeway.
Operators were delighted to be able to visit the Wrightbus factory in Ballymena where Group Managing Director, Mark Nodder, made a presentation giving an insight to the future of Wrightbus. The visit to the factory floor was fascinating, and the bus enthusiasts were delighted to be able to sit in one of the new TfL Boris Buses.
