So we bit the bullet and purchased the hotel reservation for $104, including taxes and all. Last year we stayed in the John Ascuaga s Nugget ace rent a car miami Nugget Hotel and had paid around $70, so we were expecting this year s hotel to cost roughly ace rent a car miami the same.
When we arrived, ace rent a car miami I left the family in the car waiting and walked into the building, choking on cigarette smoke as I went to find the front desk. This was not a no-smoking facility. Right inside the main entrance there were people sitting at slot machines (some of which were obviously smoking). Not exactly the atmosphere I wanted for my family, but what was I to expect at a casino?
I went up to the desk and was helped very promptly and courteously. The only business was to initial and sign a short paper saying that I wouldn t destroy the room and I had to pay a $2 hotel tax. Before I knew it, I had my room keys and instructions to head down to the elevator and take the elevator up to the fifth floor to find our room.
In the room, the lamp wasn t working and there was a foul odor. I was pretty sure we had asked for a non-smoking room, but I was pretty sure this room was a smoking room (at least at some point) and it was as if they hadn t washed the blankets in a while (they didn t smell too good either).

But, the day we were going to head back home from Las Vegas, we got online to try to find the cheapest hotel possible for our return trip. Well, what did I know? The cheapest hotel I could find was at the same hotel, the Sands Regency Hotel in Reno, Nevada. This time it was only 29.00 plus taxes, which came out to $42.12. What?!!!! That was almost a third of what we had spent on the first reservation. How could it be so much cheaper this time? I guess it was because it was Sunday and everyone had gone home for the weekend.
Yes, we are gluttons for punishment. We decided to stay at the same hotel. This time however, the room was definitely a non-smoking room. It smelled great (no smell at all), and it was clean. The lamp worked, the television worked. The only minor blemishes to the room were a few dings in the green carpet.
Oh, the furnishings in both hotel rooms was a bit outdated. It reminded me of the furnishings in the last Motel 6 I stayed at. I didn t mind that because it was clean and they were happy colors (as you see in the photo above).
They also had a wonderful hot tub there. The water was nice and hot, and even though we were in the desert, it felt good to sit in it after getting out of the cool water of the pool. They had plenty of fluffy ace rent a car miami clean towels and lots of lawn chairs in great condition around the pool and even some covered areas to protect from the hot sun.
Based on our first night s stay, I can t really say I recommend this hotel, just simply because it is not consistently nice. But, it did what we needed it to do. It gave us a place to stay and rest and get showered up.
