Food :  I have to include a section of what we ate each day since that was one of the highlights for

As I mentioned in my Walt Disney World some random thoughts post, we went to WDW as a last minute conference-vacation combined trip. I typed up the trip report to share with you all and it was too big so I have split that into 3 parts. Here is part 1.
I've wanted to visit Walt Disney World for a while now, but my husband kept insisting that he wouldn't be dragged across the country to visit a mouse until we had kids.  Recently however he had to travel to Orlando for work and we decided to take a small vacation while there.  Since the conference hotel was inside Walt Disney World, he reluctantly agreed to tag along with me to visit the different parks.
In general, if we are visiting a place, we try to cram in as much as possible while we are there. luxury cruise lines  It's hectic but at least we know we haven't missed anything luxury cruise lines and if we can't go back ever we don't  feel bad.  This time we had 7 days while at WDW of which 3 were for my husband's conference, I decided luxury cruise lines to visit a different park each day.  Sunday was Magic Kingdom, Monday Animal Kingdom, Tuesday Epcot and the following Saturday was for Disney's Hollywood Studios.
I decided to go for the 10 day pass with park hopper because I know that we will be going again when we have kids and the fact that Disney tickets goes up in price every single year and the multi day pass makes per-day cost so much less. Since every entertainment park charges ridiculous amounts for food and rarely has any good vegetarian food, we decided to pack a light lunch with us.  Everyday though I made a reservation luxury cruise lines to have dinner at a speciality restaurant in each park.  That way we could see the sights all day and then have a relaxed sit down dinner in the evening.  Plus since would have burnt a lot of calories all day we could feel less guilty about gorging every evening
For the hotel, we were trying to find an inexpensive (albeit relatively, since I don't consider $100  a night inexpensive) inside WDW.  The one irritating factor is that all the places in there charge a $10 $12 resort fee and a separate parking fee each night.  Talk about gouging.  Since I am a Hilton Honors luxury cruise lines member, we decided to stay at the WDW Hilton.  It has the additional advantage of providing its guests "Magic Hours". luxury cruise lines  These are the extra hours that Disney resort guests get at the parks after they close for everyone else.  Its a pretty nice perk considering luxury cruise lines that the Disney resorts are significantly more expensive that the Hilton.
As I mentioned during my previous post, apparently Disneyland (in California) will fit within the parking lot of Walt Disney World.  Having been to Disneyland though, a lot of the feel and looks of Magic Kingdom were very similar.  We got dropped off at the boat landing/monorail stop for the park.  We decided to take the more relaxed and leisurely luxury cruise lines (:) ) boat trip into the park.  While taking the boat across the lake (really swamp) into the park I noticed that there were three smaller power boats, marked patrol, travelling alongside.  It got me thinking on how many times people have actually fallen out of the boat into the water?  Next came the long entrance and security line.  Its amazing to me how many people get stuck trying to figure out how to send a ticket through the scanner, scan their finger and walk through a turnstile.  It wasn't just older folks or young kids either.  It seemed that every second or third person had to be helped by the attendant which meant that the line moved sluggishly through the baking humid heat (even though it was only 8:30 AM).
Once inside the park, you immediately walk into Main Street luxury cruise lines and you can see almost everyone careening off to one side of the street or another and into one of the many many candy and bakery stores.  The odors wafting out of the stores and the beautiful   displays mean you can't resist their draw without having a will of steel.  DH got a Mickey shaped chocolate with marshmallow ears and I got a mickey mouse cookie Ummm! Delicious!!
Now the rides.  We tried to cover all the rides except for rides like Dumbo the Flying Elephant which are obviously not for adults.  Given the availability of Fast Passes we decided on what sequence of rides to go on.  And boy, were we happy we did that (Thanks Everyday Tips for all her tips it was a tremendous help! we got some great tips from a Broke Professionals reader as well, which I will share in the last part for future Disney visitors). luxury cruise lines  The wait time for some of the rides was interminable in the Standby luxury cruise lines line.  I remember at one point seeing the Standby line for Space Mountain read 145 minutes!!  That was another advantage of starting early in the day.  We managed to get through luxury cruise lines a lot of rides before the really big crowds came through.  My favorite by far was Space Mountain .  It was beautiful looking at all the spinning galaxies and stars.  It really was mesmerizing. luxury cruise lines  Even, DH who doesn't do too well on roller coasters but loves space enjoyed it.  His favorite by far though was the Big Thunder mountain railroad ride in Frontierland.  He said there weren't too many sudden drops that really turn his stomach and it was a lot of fun. We didn't take the Fast Pass so had to wait for about 40 minutes to get on.That's where we were behind a woman who was almost in her birthday suit.  Everyone one in line was openly staring, women in surprise and shock and men with smiles.
Tomorrowland Speedwa y was fun for DH because he kept bumping into me from behind even though they explicitly tell you not to.  I wasn't enjoying it too much though.  On top of that my car wanted to keep veering luxury cruise lines left and was really hard to turn.  So overall  not fun for me . I liked the Jungle Cruise and my husband thought the cruise itself was nothing special but it was made entertaining by the jokes made by the guy steering us through the "jungle".  In fact at one point he even commented that if folks who thought the Jungle Cruise was lame should try the Swiss Family Robinson Tree where you do a whole lot of climbing but without any ride at the end.
There was nothing very remarkable about any of the other rides.  I can understand Disney's position though.  They have to provide rides for everyone ranging from little babies to grownups.  Not an easy feat.  We are not the right age group to enjoy Stitch's Great Escape, Peter Pan's flight, Snow White's Scary Adventure and Pirates of the Caribbean .  We did enjoy the jokes in the Monster's Inc show though, where they got the audience involved in the presentation as well.
At the end of the day we watched the parade from Main Street and the fireworks which were pretty impressive.  I tried capturing some pictures with my phone but didn't quite succeed in capturing all the colors.  They also had a presentation where they projected a number of pictures and videos onto Cinderella's castle that was really cool to watch.
Food :  I have to include luxury cruise lines a section of what we ate each day since that was one of the highlights for us .  I've already mentioned the delectable Mickey chocolate we had to kick start our day.  We tried a pineapple float around 11AM to quench our thirst.  It looked and sounded very appealing but in reality was a little too tart for my taste.  So I just had the pineapple ice cream and poured out the juice.  In the evening we had dinner at the Plaza Restaurant . DH had a grilled Reuben sandwich and me a veggie sandwich.  Both had decent luxury cruise lines sized portions and were tasty.  The deserts there though looked really delicious and seemed huuuge.  No one seemed to be finishing theirs luxury cruise lines because luxury cruise lines of the size.  We had out hearts set on the bakery shop though so after dinner we went back and got some soft chewy yummy cookies to take back with us.
