You may, and should, have noticed that over the past months photos have taken a more prominent place here on the blog. People have given me a lot of positive feedback on those photos as well. Which I m not going to lie was a great feeling. One time someone even asked me if I was a professional photographer. Just for the record, I m everything but a professional photographer. Let me be very clear about that. However, that particular comment was one of many things that made me consider doing something more with my best photos .
I say best photos, because believe me, there s a lot of rubbish pictures as well. (Another idea for a blog post right there!) The thing is though, over the years the ratio between my good and bad pictures has improved drastically. I ve dedicated quite a lot of my time reading about landscape and travel photography and actually going outside and practice.
It s one of my three passions. There s travel, obviously, there s this blog and there s taking photographs. Luckily, those three things are extremely complementary. Or isn t that lucky at all? I mean, if I hadn t loved traveling so much, this website wouldn t even exist and I would never have felt the need to take photos in the first place.
About a month ago I decided to finally start building a new website where I could feature my favorite photos and offer people the opportunity to buy them. At the moment they are available for purchase as canvas prints los angeles valley college and aluminum prints.
Please do head over there and take a look. And by all means, doesn t matter if you absolutely love it or thoroughly hate it, please give me some feedback too. There s always room for improvement in these things.
That s awesome! I ve always loved your photos, haven t seen the rubbish ones but I m sure I would love them too I like the new lay-out of this website and sure do love your photography website. My question; How are you going to combine those two? I find it already hard to post a good post (something that people like to read) twice a week and all the social media, connecting, interacting etc. that comes along with it, it takes most of my time. Am very curious how you combine everything. Keep going like you do, it all looks great!
This travel blog will always be my main website and the one I spend the majority of my time working on. Concerning social media, I use one twitter account, los angeles valley college have one facebook page and so on. And as you say, it does take up a lot of precious time. I enjoy it though!
