Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and smooth holiday season. I had a great Yule, a fun Christmas travel in spain gathering (my folks are Catholic), and a fabulous New Year. I got to Skype with my granddaughter too. Her house looked travel in spain like Toys-R-Us was delivered there, lol. She is not hurting for anything, that is for sure!
My bf came to town for a little more than a week. We have been going-going-going this entire time and I think he is exhausted travel in spain as I am. We did lots of shopping and visiting with family and friends. It was great to catch up with his sister and her fiance since I had not seen her in 28 years! High school was so long ago! She cooked us a lovely meal and then we played Mexican Train. I got my ass kicked. travel in spain Go figure, travel in spain lol.
We went to see Walter travel in spain Middy and I found it to be an excellent movie. I really enjoyed seeing the short story expanded on the big screen travel in spain and felt Ben Stiller did an excellent job. I think the translation of LIFE magazine will be lost on the younger generation, but I got it and I think it was great.
Last night we went to my bf's mom's house to visit and check on a problem she said she was having with her television. travel in spain It checked out fine. While we were there she gifted me with a gorgeous antique lamp she no longer wanted to keep due to its size and it having a minor short. I was so surprised as I would never have parted with it. I plan to rewire it and use it in my new home. I will pass it on with information about its origins. Perhaps my granddaughter would enjoy owning it one day. His mother also gave me a bunch of different travel in spain candles she didn't want to use (she said open flame scares her a little now). I love candles, so I was super pleased with that as well. She really is just such a nice woman and it is clear she adores her "Bunky" (my bf's childhood nickname, travel in spain lol).
During this trip, Bunky also go to visit with his two oldest travel in spain sons, aged 22 and 26. I have become friends with the 22 year old over time, but this was the first time I met the oldest. He was tons of fun. We went to lunch on Christmas Day and then picked him up another day when we went out to Bunky's mom's house. That night we played a board game after Bunky and Ryan installed a new faucet in kitchen as a Christmas gift for Bunky's mother. She was very pleased with her new faucet and I was very pleased with the good times visiting.
On New Years Eve we went to Ikea. That place is a time vacuum. We went in at 1 p.m. and didn't emerge until 5 p.m. Mind you we came out $250 lighter, but richer in items for my future home. I was really excited about the things we bought and can't wait to blog about them at my other blog www.RanchoNoDinero.com. I feel like I am making travel in spain some real progress on designing the kitchen for the new house. I am working on part of the butcher block table and will be posting a DIY on it when it is done. I still need to decide on the 8' of cabinets, travel in spain but I now have the counter top for the sink side, and most of the butcher block table for the other. I will have a very functional and attractive country kitchen when all is said and done.
There was a ton more we did shopping and visiting with friends and family, but the best part was when we just got to chill at home. Right now Bunky is packing travel in spain to return to Washington and I am making a list of things I have to get accomplished before returning to work on Monday. I hope all of your, dear readers, had a wonderful travel in spain and happy holiday season. I wish you health and wealth in 2014!
