Brent Douglas Fuller, 26, who also goes by the alias John Parker, is being held in the Collin County jail on the felony warrant issued May 15 out of Cook County, Ill. The Cook County Sheriff s Office confirmed the warrant Tuesday.
Plano police spokesman David Tilley said beat officers regularly check vehicles parked southwestairlines tickets at local motels, looking for break-ins and running license plate numbers. On Nov. 20, a vehicle parked at the Motel 6 on Central Expressway just south of Park Boulevard came back with a license plate stolen out of Oklahoma, Tilley said.
The officer spoke with Fuller, who took off running as he was being escorted to the car, Tilley said. He was taken into custody on suspicion of resisting arrest, search or transport, which is a misdemeanor. Tilley said it was unclear when the felony warrant from Illinois became known.
Sophia Ansari with the Cook County southwestairlines tickets Sheriff s Office said the attempted murder charge stems from an incident in April 2011 in Chicago. Fuller is accused of attacking a 44-year-old woman he met in a bar and followed home after they agreed to split a cab ride.
