I would like to start off by saying I would love to be writing and expressing how much my family, my friends and I enjoyed our vacation. Unfortunately this is not the case. I believe you were trying to resolve the issues/challenges that occurred. I don�t know why you were not able to reach me, as you stated. During that time, I was actually sitting in the lobby of the resort, with my bags packed. My party sat in the lobby waiting on a phone call that never came. That is not how anyone would want to spend a vacation. As you are aware, there is little or no cell phone service at the resort. That being said and understood, there was no way for me to reach you outside of using the resort�s phone. Likewise, the only way to reach me was through their phone number and I never received a call from you.
When I was able to speak to you, your attitude came across as unprofessional, uncaring and lacking sympathy. For the past few years, I have booked my vacations through circus circus hotel casino your company and I have enjoyed those experiences. This is the first time I was on the receiving end of unprofessional and negative service. What I experienced was very traumatic and unsettling for my family and I. The resort and the resort circus circus hotel casino staff were not very helpful in resolving the issues. Having no local support or a contact person, you were my only resource. Were the unsanitary conditions present when you visited the resort?
Upon our arrival our rooms were not ready. We proceeded to take the kids to eat which took about an hour to an hour and a half. After, we headed back to the lobby and our rooms still were not ready. We hung out in the lobby for an additional forty-five minutes to an hour before circus circus hotel casino the rooms were ready. We decided to call it a day and get some rest after showering. All the while the front desk kept referring me to speak with the Liberty Travel representative on the resort. I speak to the Liberty Travel Representative and I�m directed back to the front desk of the resort and she was not accommodating. After running back and forth between circus circus hotel casino the front desk and the Liberty Travel Representative several times, I�m then told I needed to speak with the agent who booked my travels in the United States. I could not use my own phone or anyone else�s in my party of 9, because we did not have any service. I find that odd, because we all have different carriers. Once on the line with you I felt a sense of relief, but that was short lived once your tone and demeanor changed and it put me in a bad place. All I heard from you was the resort may charge you for leaving early; you will have to pay extra to leave early, if you stay at another resort you may have to pay extra. Not until I started to raise my voice and demand to come home did you apologize. In other words, every remedy was about money. How could I have been subjected to such treatment and you charge me for not wanting to endure circus circus hotel casino it. I felt as if you worked with the resort, instead of with me, your client. As a client you are supposed to have my best interest at heart and work to bring satisfaction to this situation. Had it not been for my eleven year old daughter, who the trip was for, I would have left that day.
Every day I had to call the front desk in order to receive more towels and washcloths. One night, they never came and I walked to the lobby to speak with a manager about it. I was always told that when I returned to my room there would be an ample supply. I have been to Jamaica before and the workers at the Riu did not embody the Jamaican spirit of hospitality at all. Everything was done at their convenience and not the guests�.
I was not only subjected to roaches in my room, but they were also in the dining area near the prepared food. Below you will find the pic I took of yet another roach dead near the food that was prepared for all of the guests to eat.
So this was not just an isolated event. This is something that needs to be addressed and not with a room upgrade and spa treatment. It was my choice not to utilize the spa treatment, but that is not enough to compensate me for the trauma that I experienced. circus circus hotel casino I was supposed to be on VACATION. Instead, I had to sleep with one eye open, because I was fearful that I would be subjected to more roaches. I got very little rest and was not able to relax, because I was on edge while at the resort. This trip has really left a sore spot with Riu resort, Liberty Travel, and you. As I stated before you and your company may have lost a customer, but then again you may not care to much, because your approach to handle my situation demonstrates how you handle things.
