Can you say that you've been to Utah's first national monument? If not, then you should go to Natural Bridges National Monument the next time you're on vacation in Utah. When you come to Natural Bridges National Monument, you'll see three unbelievable natural lake tahoe booking and lodging stone bridges crossing over dry land. This land wasn't always dry though, if you can believe it. There actually used to be streams running through the canyon, and those streams created the natural bridges over time through lake tahoe booking and lodging water erosion.
You can visit Natural Bridges year round. Visitors pay an entrance fee of $6 per vehicle. The entrance fee is good for seven days after purchase, so you can come back to the monument in the next few days if you didn't get enough on one day.
If you'd like to stay overnight at Natural Bridges, the camping fee is only $10 per night. We strongly recommend camping overnight because the view of the night sky is unbeatable here. The monument was named the first International Dark-Sky Park, so it has some of the darkest and clearest skies in the entire United States.
Of course, the three natural bridges are the main attractions at Natural Bridges. Each bridge has a word from the Hopi language as its present name. The largest bridge is called Sipapu, meaning "opening between worlds." Sipapu is the second-largest natural bridge in the whole world.
The medium-sized bridge is called Kachina, which is the name for spiritual beings in Hopi and Pueblo culture. The smallest bridge is called Owachomo, meaning "rock mound." Owachomo is also the thinnest and most fragile lake tahoe booking and lodging of the bridges, providing a spectacular sight for visitors.
If you'd like to have a little more adventure and see the bridges from ground level, you can access them from several hiking trails. These trails vary in length, from 0.2 miles to 0.75 miles, and also in difficulty, from easy to moderately strenuous.
If you were hoping to ride a Utah ATV rental underneath these bridges, then you'll just have to admire on foot since motorized vehicles are prohibited off the main road. You can always enjoy riding a UT ATV rental on another day of your Utah vacation. If you'd like to hear more travel ideas for your Utah vacation, please let us know by leaving a comment!
