The officer was responding to a request for assistance from officers with the Heath Police Department southwestairline tickets who were involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in the area of Calburn Street in Newark at about 3:50 a.m. when the crash occurred.
Trotter was transported to Licking County Memorial Hospital by Newark fire medic personnel. He was then transferred to Grant Medical Center for further examination. He is listed in stable condition at this time, according to Newark police.
According to the Heath police southwestairline tickets report, the dispatch center received a call from William Clark, of Newark, stating that he was following a silver 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser that had been stolen from his house. Clark told officers he was following the vehicle in a white van on state Route 79 north.
A Heath patrol officer observed the two vehicles southwestairline tickets in the area of S.R. 79 and Andover Road. The officer activated his emergency lights and pursued the vehicles. Officers interviewed all parties involved. Clark told officers that he had witnessed Reeder driving the vehicle. A statement from Brown also indicated that Reeder had been driving the vehicle; however, Reeder southwestairline tickets told officers that Brown was driving the vehicle at the time of the pursuit.
In a statement to officers, Brown said that Reeder had picked him up in Newark and drove to several drug houses. He says that she spoke to Clark on the phone and told him that they were going to the America s Best Value Inn in Heath. Brown states that Reeder stopped the vehicle to speak with Clark before she sped away, ramping a curb. Brown told officers that he had asked Reeder several times to stop the vehicle but she refused. He said that Williams had rammed the PT Cruiser at some point while he was following.
In Reeder s statement southwestairline tickets to officers, she stated that Brown had been driving the vehicle during the pursuit. She said that she and Brown had picked up the vehicle at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday from Clark s home. She said that they had made several stops including an apartment and a business before the pursuit had occurred.
