Rumours began to circulate that Thomson Cruises were going to be announcing a new destination when a poll appeared on their Facebook page, asking regular Thomson cruisers where they would like to sail next.
As of October, leading the poll was Pacific Mexico Central America with 41.9% of the vote. However, many members of the Cruise Critic forums disagreed with this poll, favouring the destination in second place, Thailand the Far East.
We re busy planning summer 2014, and the following winter, now and I promise there will be more new destinations for you to choose from. Thomson Airways are to receive the Boeing 787 Dreamliner next year, with flights beginning in the summer season to Cancun, Mexico and Florida. For the following winter season, Thomson Airways will be operating the Dreamliner to the majority of its longhaul programme, including flying cruise passengers to Barbados to join Thomson Dream on selected flights.
With the introduction of the Dreamliner to Thomson Airways, new destinations will be able to be served by the operator direct from the UK. This has led Thomson Holidays to introduce Thailand from November 2013, adding to the rumours that cruises from the latter destination to the Far East will be most likely.
Need to expand from Tenerife to go down to Gambia,Senegal and the Cape Verde Isles on a 2 week itinerary that should be straight forward as they have the infrastructure in Tenerife for coaches etc and can also mix and match the season with the Canaries and the Azores
