Koreatown's brand new, 12-story, 388-room boutique ramada inns hotel, The Line , has finally soft-opened and is looking pretty cool, from its eye-catching rainbow exterior down to the distressed concrete walls, as seen in Los Angeles magazine . Formerly Wilshire Plaza, the building was designed in 1964 by the same architects behind the American Cement Building (now beautiful rental lofts ) and has now been reimagined by developers the Sydell Group as "the first lifestyle hotel of its kind in the United States to draw upon Korean and Korean-American culture, food and design." When all the work's complete, it'll have mega cool points and Ktown cred with not one but two restaurants ramada inns by Roy Choi (Kogi) and a bar/lounge under the watchful eyes of the guys behind hotspots ramada inns Harvard & Stone and La Descarga (all three are Koreatown natives).
