Broad St. As of Dec. 31, they have collected close to $600,000 including a $100,000 Affordable Housing Program grant from First NBC Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas.

We ve got important decisions to make that are going to have a real impact on businesses and families all across the country.
Our ultimate goal, our long-term goal is to get our long-term deficit under control in a way that is balanced and is fair. That would be good for businesses, for our economy, for future generations. And I believe both parties can -- and will -- work together in the coming weeks to get that done. We know how that gets done. We re going to have to raise a little more revenue. We ve got to cut out spending we don t need, building on the trillion dollars of spending cuts we ve already made. And if we combine those two things, hotels in key west florida we can create a path where America is paying its bills while still being able to make investments in the things we need to grow like education and infrastructure. So we know how to do that.
But in Washington, nothing is easy, so there is going to be some prolonged negotiations. And all of us are going to have to get out of our comfort zones to make that happen. But where the clock is really ticking right now is on middle-class taxes. At the end of the year, middle-class taxes that are currently in place are set to expire -- middle-class tax cuts that are currently in place are set to expire.

That s for a typical family -- it would be more for some folks. That s money a lot of families just can t afford to lose. That s less money to buy gas, less money to buy groceries. But here s the thing. Even the top 2 percent, even folks who make more than $250,000, they d still keep their tax cut on the first $250,000 of income. So it would still be better off for them, too, for us to go ahead and get that done. Families would have a sense of security going into the new year. Companies like this one would know what to expect in terms of planning for next year and the year after. That means people s jobs would be secure.

And it would then give us in Washington more time to work together on that long-range plan to bring down deficits in a balanced way: Tax reform, working on entitlements, and asking the wealthiest Americans to pay a little bit more so we can keep investing in things like education and research that make us strong.

Bryan, Kenzie & I just got back from the most amazing Disney vacation I have ever been on! We got to spend 2 days at Walt Disney World & 7 nights on a Disney Cruise to the Western Caribbean on the Disney Magic Ship!
The cruise was definitely the best part of our vacation! airline flight school We made so many amazing airline flight school friends and Kenzie got sooo much sweet & special treatment from the crew and all the Disney characters! Whoever the person under the Mickey costume was, was just obsessed with Kenzie! Any time Mickey would be on his way to a meet and greet or to a specific area of the ship, if he saw Kenzie he would go out of his way to stop and give her a big hug! When we went to a character dance party in the lobby, Mickey came up grabbed Kenzie's hand and dance only with HER! It was honestly AMAZING! Here all these tons of other kids are trying airline flight school to get Mickey's attention and he just wouldn't budge! He did not let go of Kenzie's hand for 10 minutes straight. We celebrated Kenzie's birthday on the ship, but never told any of the characters that we were celebrating, airline flight school yet somehow that same Mickey knew and signed her Disney autograph book "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENZIE! airline flight school LOVE MICKEY MOUSE!" Peter Pan, Cinderella, etc all memorized her name and whenever we would see them they would always shout "HI KENZIE!" After meeting the most adorable Cinderella I have ever seen, I was walking through the lobby alone and a girl came up to me and asked for our room number, the next day we were surprised airline flight school with an invitation on our door to a private meet and greet with all the characters! It was by far the best thing about our trip! Over 20 different characters all loving up on Kenzie at the same time, putting her in their lap, talking to her and taking pictures with her. This group of kids who played the characters were seriously such angels. When I got home from the cruise, the girl who played Cinderella found me on Instagram, added me and left me a comment saying "Thanks for making that cruise so special. Give that little girl a big hug from all of us." Melted my heart. Kenzie won over so many hearts on that trip! On our last day I went to pick up our photo disc from the cruise photographers, and the women working there said "We love Kenzie so much! Would you be willing to sign a release form so that we could use her pictures in our store?"

In Anither report, it said he was on the bow of the ship and a high wave came up an knocked him over. Since I sailed Oasis and Allure twice, this is a restricted and locked area where the helipad is located. I don t think it s possible that he was there.
I was on the disney cruise ship that picked up the man in the ocean. We watched the rescue from our balcony. The sea was not rough that day, though it was breezy. And it was in the morning (7:30ish) when they sounded the MOB alert.
The last post I read indicated his family got off the ship on Cozumel and was with him. I hope everything works out ok for them, that s got to be a very hard way to end your vacation. I have empathy for all parties involved, no matter what the circumstances.

Sarah Kate s Magic Moment aboard the Disney Dream was last week. I didn t share why I was taking a blog break, because I didn t want to advertise to all the Interwebs OUR HOUSE IS GOING TO BE EMPTY FOR A WEEK! COME ROB US! so now you know. I asked her to share a bit about her experience today; on Thursday I ll provide my own perspective, including tips on cruising with kids who have special needs.

I can’t. Still, I’m really glad that they gave me the chance to experience a Disney cruise, because it was the best vacation ever!
Now on to the trip itself. Well, first of all, our room was HUGE. You could fit, like, thirty people in there! My mom took me on a short tour of the ship it got interrupted by the muster drill but we got back on track after. The Oceaneers’ Club was where Nathan would be, and it was full of little computers with little Disney games to play. It had different play areas that were themed for different Disney movies, like Fairies and Monsters Inc. and Andy’s Room from Toy Story .
The club I was in that was for 11-14 year-olds was called Edge, which is ironic because that is what my 6th grade CCD group at church is called. There were also computers in Edge but the games were more “teenage friendly.” There were two TV screens one could show two different things at the same time, like a movie and a Wii game. They also had tons of games and Disney movies. There were games like Gender Wars boys against girls trivia and just regular trivia. And one thing that was cool, they had a GREEN SCREEN ROOM where you could pick a setup Disney 365, weather, etc. It was like the way in movies they have the camera that shows you what you look like and the main one that tells you what to say.
And OMG, there was FREE pizza and ice cream on the pool deck. Oh, my favorite thing on the pool deck to do was the Aquaduck, a huge water slide that went around the ENTIRE ship. The bad news was, I had to climb an equivalent of about five flights of stairs to get to it, so I only rode it twice.
Wednesday was Pirate Night so we got to dress up as pirates and there was a little american airlines arena miami skit they did with Captain Jack Sparrow and after there was a HUGE firework show. At dinner on Pirate Night, the menus were pirate-themed. The pork loins were called ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pork Medallions.’
There were three restaurants and every day you went to a different one. On Monday at lunch and again on Thursday evening we went to one called the Enchanted Garden, Monday night we ate at the Royal Palace then Tuesday and Wednesday night were at the Animator’s Palate, and Friday morning we had breakfast back at the Enchanted Garden. The waiters american airlines arena miami that served you kind of “followed american airlines arena miami you” when you switched restaurants so you always had the same waiters no matter what restaurant you ate in.
The Enchanted Garden american airlines arena miami was obviously garden themed and at night the walls and ceiling got darker like night. There was a buffet at lunch when we first boarded the ship. The words on the menus were written in really fancy writing that was kind of hard to read. There was this one lady who was taking pictures of him and he saw and asked her what her name was, then repeated it. :0 Near the ceiling, but still on the walls were colorless drawings of Disney characters and on shelves were clay figures of some of the characters and little “artifacts” like a Scream can from Monsters, Inc.
Now, on to what I actually DID. Monday after the muster drill, I spent all my time in Edge playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which is like the best game ever! I won after about 3 tries and then the following days when I played I won. On Tuesday, I went to the pool and of course was going to die if I didn’t ride the Aquaduck american airlines arena miami and like I said I climbed the extremely long staircase and rode twice. american airlines arena miami You rode in a little inflatable ‘boat thing’ which held two people and hung on for dear life. There were these two parts where you went up and then went down again and then water washed over you and you got drenched.
On Wednesday, we sailed to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay – “cay” is pronounced like “key” and for every piece of land there is at least one beach. I spent the day freezing to death in the water, sleeping american airlines arena miami in one of the chairs, sitting in the sand, or eating. I had to use a beach wheelchair that was like a chair on a bunch of beach balls. It was the worst thing I’ve ever ridden in it wobbled and wouldn’t steer straight and someone american airlines arena miami had to push me, which I hated most, and it was just really uncomfortable. We went back on the ship and later we got to see Captain Mickey and have our picture taken with him. We got to see him along with two other “wish kids” and and their families. The two other families got a cruise from Make-a-Wish. Nathan loved Mickey and enjoyed american airlines arena miami making “music” on the piano. Because of Magic Moments we also got little gifts every day like chocolate covered strawberries and a fruit and cheese plate, and they also gave us photos of our private meeting with Mickey.
On Thursday, I saw Into the Woods , which was about five different fairy tales and the full stories Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood but it’s so complicated, you’ll american airlines arena miami have to see it to know what the heck I’m talking about. And later in the day, I saw Disney’s Believe show (also, too difficult to explain, you’ll have to see it to understand what it is, but it had lots of classic Disney songs).
I am so happy that Sarah Kate got chosen. She needed this cruise for an emotional lifting of spirits american airlines arena miami after a difficult stretch of life. She got to be a pre-teen for a while and not have to focus on normally rigorous PT regimens and let herself go. This is important as she is at the crossroads of being thrust into major changes in life. As she is thrust into more mature life. And she will blossom, be frustrated and elated, and mature into the strong, amazing, hard working adult she will become over time. And her experiences will also grow. I am glad yourself and Nathan american airlines arena miami got to go along and it done as a unit. Even at 50, I have had major revolution come my way. I have left the nest and became a homeowner, and ruling my own domain, and maintaining and cleaning that home, and also having to balance broadcast engineering, the other home with my kiddos (both special needs and wheelchair users too) and finding balance and harmony in life. And dealing with crouchy, aging, arthritic bodies which don t always want to move on command. Again, I am so happy for all of you. And still amazed at SK s handling of being somewhat famous. She s going to be in PR or in media, she is in her element with this business. And she s tough and diligent. And amazes. Never bet against Sarah Kate, she ll figure a workaround and will get what she wishes for. Which is how it should be. And you can t beat her toughness and resilience. Preemies bend but not break.
