Finally a bit of good news from the airline industry. Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue have just finished a deal that will partner them up allow passengers to fly on both carriers flights on a single continental midtown ticket.
The deal, which will be announced later today, follows Hawaiian Airlines announcement of plans to add New York service direct hotels in nashville tennessee from its home base in Honolulu starting in June. Customers hotels in nashville tennessee on both airlines will be able to connect with those flights through JetBlue s base at New York s JFK.
Besides added flight options, travelers will also be able to earn or redeem frequent flier miles on each other s flights, starting with the New York service in June. This deal is great for so many reasons. The main thing that jumps out is that customers can now fly Hawaiian to just about anywhere in the nation, as you simply connect with a JetBlue hotels in nashville tennessee flight if your Hawaiian flight doesn't go to a certain destination. All without having to purchase separate airline tickets.
Frequent flyers continental midtown miles can be accumulated hotels in nashville tennessee and used for both airlines, continental midtown so it looks like a win-win deal for everyone. Hawaiian Airlines is one of the few airlines that still tries to make its passengers comfortable, so hopefully a better quality flight will continue with this announcement.
Partnerships like this allow airlines to expand their service without spending more money to add flights on their own. Hawaiian Airlines continental midtown already has similar partnerships, called codeshares, with major U.S. airlines including United-Continental, Delta and American. JetBlue has deals with a number of international carriers, including Ireland s Aer Lingus, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Emirates.
