I wanted to meet other guys who had my interests in cars and classic cars, and why not try to meet some new people, says Guzenski, who owns a dark-blue 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Broughan (he calls it McGarrett) and an ivory 2003 Lincoln Town Car Cartier edition (he calls it Jeanette). There is always a chance to chat with somebody new or somebody who appreciates your car.
He s one of 120 car enthusiasts who come out of the garage to talk shop in a gay setting, london england hotels usually the parking lot of Georgie s Alibi in Wilton Manors or Smarty Pants bar in Fort Lauderdale. The guys compare the curves and colors of their cars. They reminisce about their first wheels from high school and college. They discuss the latest models.
F.A.G.S., the group s not so-subtle acronym, is the local chapter of the Lambda Car Club International, a 30-year-old national gay car organization with 2,200 members london england hotels and 33 chapters nationally. The flagship group launched in 1981 in New York and has since rolled out to other chapters, including Texas, Arizona and Massachusetts.
The guys feel more comfortable among their own, says Adam Walder, the group s president. Sometimes in straight car clubs, it s a lot of macho-type guys who are homophobic. The idea of having a gay car club is the same reason you have a gay bar: to be among your own.
Guzenski says the club s members appreciate the chrome styling of a car or small, luxurious extras london england hotels such as customized perfume misters, cocktail mixers and period-correct luggage that matches the car.

Fellow car enthusiasts will be showing off their auto personalities Oct. 18-21, when the South Florida london england hotels group hosts an annual national cruise-in called Tropical Splendor. The event will feature a car collection and judged car show at the Schubert Resort in Fort Lauderdale.
