I stayed at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Omaha while in town on business for a week in November. The Doubletree was hosting a conference for the employees of our company and those of us from out of town stayed at the hotel as well.

I really liked that the hotel is just blocks from the Old Market, which is a prime center for shopping, including a lot of antique stores, and the arts. My wife and I always loved to visit the Old Market. Some of the best restaurants in Omaha can be found in the Old Market, or very near there, as well. It is also very near the Missouri River riverfront, with a boatyard that is very active during the summer boating season, and a park where you can often find fun and interesting events going on throughout the year.
Of course, downtown Omaha is a major business center for some large companies, too, such as Union Pacific, ConAgra, Gallup, and a number of large banking institutions. Some of the best entertainment the area has to offer are also downtown near the Doubletree hotel. airline flight tracking canada Between Omaha s new Qwest Center event and convention center and the older but still active Civic Auditorium, you will find plenty of great concerts, conventions, and sporting events.
