The Rue de Grenelle is widely regarded as one of Paris's best addresses. Running from the Champs de Mars (Eiffiel Tower), it passes through the Invalid (Napoleon's Tomb), the Ministries area, and come to the heart of St. Germain des Pres. Within easy walking distance are the Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre, the Musee Rodin, the Jardin des Tuileries, and the Hotel Matignon (official residence of the French Prime Minister).
Our apartment building is just at the corner of the rue de Grenelle and the Boulevard Raspail. It's 1 minute from the subway station (Rue du Bac), and 3 minutes from the "Le Bon March" (Paris's equivalent of Saks Fifth Avenue).
The apartment is in a "Directoire" style building, approached by entering through a long courtyard, decorated with green plants. There is no elevator, but the wooden stairwell has been well maintained, and spacious las vegas air and hotel deals to climb up to the third and the last floor easily.

There is a big window looking out onto the courtyard and the little garden next door. Modern conveniences include a small but well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with spacious las vegas air and hotel deals shower, washer-dryer, and electric las vegas air and hotel deals heating. As for the furnishings, they are also new as of this year (2003), and include a top quality double bed, a television with English language channels, etc.. We could also supply a comfortable folding bed upon request. But the apartment cannot accommodate more than two adults, but could possibly suit a couple with a very small child (there would be an additional charge). Naturally, we supply towels, sheets, duvets, and other necessities.
As for more practical concerns, a two-minute walk from our front door takes you to the intersection of Boulevard St. Germain and Boulevard Raspail. Here, there are bus-stops (leading to virtually everywhere in Paris), a taxi stand, and a Metro station (Rue du Bac). There are several banks, a post office, numerous cafes and restaurants, as well as a variety of other useful shops. These include bakeries, a butcher shop, a fish market, an excellent "traiteur" las vegas air and hotel deals (selling superb take-away food), and a grocery shop open 24 hours a day.
If you plan to have a car with you during your stay in Paris, there is a public underground parking garage beneath the Rue du Bac. If you would like to rent a car for a day or two, there is a Renault Dealership las vegas air and hotel deals right next door to this apartment. They offer a complete range of vehicles to rent, from tiny compacts to minivans.
For those who are more interested in shopping than sightseeing, the immediate area is also full of famous designer shops (Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton...), as well as lesser known but equally chic Parisian boutiques. The high-end department store - "Le Bon Marche" las vegas air and hotel deals is 2 minutes away from the apartment. And because Saint Germain des Pres is home to so many of the city's most fashionable people, the streets themselves provide a glimpse of elegant Parisien style.
Within a five-minute walk of the apartment are two major attractions las vegas air and hotel deals for food lovers: La Grande Epicerie de Paris, and the Organic las vegas air and hotel deals Market. Gourmet magazine (March, 2001) referred to La Grande Epicerie as "The ultimate grocery las vegas air and hotel deals store...the first place we stop when we arrive in town". 2. When we arrived we were tired from transporting our luggage around and trying to find the apartment with no help, only to find that we had to hike back down three flights of stairs to buy toilet paper and paper towels.
We absolutely loved the apartment ! It is so cozy and comfortable, in a fantastic location. The detailed instruction book was most helpful. Having so much space compared to a hotel room was a real joy, and my niece and nephew felt like real Parisians as opposed to tourists on their first visit here.

Your apartment was perfect! Quiet, safe, comfortable, tastefully decorated, thoughtfully equipped, including great bed reading lights, walking close to the Louvre, Marais, Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, outdoor food market, and, best of all, only two minutes away from one of the best boulangeries in Paris. Your personal help made it extra special!
Our visit at your apartment could not have been nicer. If we can get away to Paris again, we will be contacting you for certain.
