The Belize Jaguars are making HISTORY. For the first time in Belize s history, the country orleans hotel and casino las vegas s national football team has made it to the GOLD CUP. The team, being led by Head Coach Ian Mark, departs today, Friday, July 5th en route to Portland, Oregan, USA where they are scheduled to battle it out with USA on Tuesday, July 9th night, 9pm Belize time.
Initially an eight-team competition, the Gold Cup finals have grown into a 12-nation competition with countries qualifying from each of CONCACAF's three sub-regions: North America (three orleans hotel and casino las vegas automatic entrants), Central America (five qualifiers through the UNCAF Copa Centroamericana) and the Caribbean (four qualifiers through the Caribbean Cup).
The Jaguars have competed internationally for less than 20 years, but they have made great strides of late.  A fourth-place finish – their best ever – in the 2013 UNCAF Copa Centroamericana sealed them a trip to the United States.
Tuesday, July 9th, Reef Radio/TV in association orleans hotel and casino las vegas with the San Pedro Town Council are planning a viewing party to be held at Central Park commencing at 6pm. With a half time show and games, this promises to be the venue to watch the BELIZE VS USA match.
