My family and I spent a few days in San Antonio earlier this month. During our visit we had an opportunity to visit the Alamo. Honestly I don t understand all of the politics around the battle that was fought at the Alamo, but I do know that quite a few people economy rental car died, including a few heroes of the United States. Everywhere I went I was struck by the thought of how much things have changed in the last 200 years, not that San Antonio is unique in this change. In San Antonio you have the Alamo in the middle of the city.  It is relatively unchanged from when the battle took place. The part that has changed dramatically is the city. In 200 years it has gone from a near desert to a major city. All of this kept me thinking about what the people who fought in the battle would say if they were alive today.
This first shot is of the Emily Morgan Hotel. According to folklore Emily Morgan economy rental car is the hero of the battle that finally defeated General Santa Anna. You can look her up and form your own opinions both about her and the hotel that uses her name. I took this picture from the grounds of the Alamo. The tree that frames the top of this shot is on the Alamo grounds. The contrast of new and old is everywhere you look in San Antonio.

Great pictures I m also interested in architectural photography and I surf the net for brick buildings and some of the more fabulous ones are in the USA. Arches and chimney stack amaze me the most, but my wife thinks I m crazy when all of a sudden I will stop, look up to a roof, and then take picture of a chimney stack, I honestly think some are a work of art .. I know keep taking the tablets
