The Hotel Trevi fountain Rome is located in the city's historical and commercial center. It is approximately a 5-minute taxi ride from the central hotels calgary Termini station. Alternatively the hotel may also be reached by Metro line A stopping at the Barberini stop. The hotel is then a 5 minute walk (500 meters - 600 yards) hotels calgary from the Barberini stop.
From the Hotel Trevi Fountain Rome we were able to walk to all of Rome's major sights and tourist attractions. The staff were extremely helpful, however the only thing was that they tried to sell us on a couple of overpriced tours, although they were not pushy and were very understanding when we declined. The hotel rooms were very large by European and Rome standards and exceptionally clean.
The Trevi hotel consists hotels calgary of two buildings, one which has about five floors without an elevator and then the main building which has an elevator. Breakfast at the Trevi Fountain hotel was good with all the typical continental breakfast fare, but the breakfast room did get a bit crowded so get there early!
All in all, the hotel Trevi Fountain hotels calgary Rome is a wonderful hotel, and I would definitely hotels calgary stay there again when we return hotels calgary to Rome. Without doubt the highlight for me was opening my window and falling asleep hotels calgary to the splashing waters of the Trevi Fountain.
Stayed at the hotel Trevi fountain Rome earlier this month (November 2008). It's a good 3 star hotel in a super location; actually the location couldn't be better. It's exactly in the center of all the interesting sites, Rome tourist attractions, hotels calgary monuments, and nightlife that one would like to see when visiting Rome. The area is also very very safe at night. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant except for one of the morning receptionists (there were 2 receptionists at the Trevi hotel in the morning).
The one I'm speaking about is the oldest, probably in her early 40's, she was always very very sarcastic and absolutely not willing to help you unless you bought one of the expensive Rome city tours she was selling. She tried her sales on us when we had just checked in, while we still had all our luggage in our hands. Once she knew we were not interested in buying a tour from her she even gave us the wrong directions about the whereabouts of a site / place. On one particular occasion when we asked for directions of a particular site the younger hotels calgary receptionist was really helpful, and on seeing this the older receptionist told her, don't bother helping them, leave them, in Italian! Only not realizing that we can understand Italian better than she can probably! All this is cause we didn't buy the Rome city tour she wanted to sell us.
The hotel Trevi fountain Rome offers a top location in the midst of ancient Rome, with rooms for all possible requirements. Everything is within walking distance, even the Vatican City and St Peters are reachable if you don't mind a good stroll. However there is no bar, leisure area or library. Hotel Trevi Fountain is just rooms and a reception and half of the hotel's rooms are even outside the building!
We stayed for three nights with my pregnant wife on her 40th birthday. The first night was in a double room on the ground floor in an adjacent street. The only window was high above the door. It was clean, big enough with a shower and Italian TV channels. There was no safe. Minimal hotels calgary sounds from the street outside that had only pedestrians, no cars or mopeds. OK for a night in Rome on the lowest budget. A bit of an unsecured feeling for light sleepers.
The next day we got a free upgrade to larger "junior suite" , on 6th floor without elevator, in another street nearby. Beautiful hotels calgary bath with tub and window. The spacious room had a floor-to-ceiling window which opened over a small square and a trattoria. The location was only 30 m from the Trevi fountain. A bargain!!
hotels calgary Breakfast was served on the hotels roof terrace, so you had to leave your building and walk over to the hotel to get the meal. The terrace is a glassed room with a view of the neighbors terraces. The breakfast was good with mix of bread and pastry, no hot meals. hotels calgary A bit crowded after 9Am, but good service and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the terrace hotels calgary is only open during breakfast.
Stayed at the Hotel Trevi Fountain Rome from the 13th to 17th April 2008, and was pleasantly surprised hotels calgary by the hotel, after reading some reviews of the Trevi Hotel. The location was excellent, only 200 yards from the Trevi fountain, and really close to the other attractions in Rome. We walked to everything that we wanted to see, the Roman Colosseum, Vatican Zoo, Museum Borghese, Roman Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Vittorio Emanuele Monument etc. and nothing was more than a 30-40 minutes stroll away.
The hotel Room was clean with a good sized shower in the bathroom, and all the towels and linen were changed every day. The Air conditioning worked well and was quiet. The only negative I would say is that the rooms were on the small side, although I understand that this is a usual thing for Rome. The selection at breakfast was limited, even to have some facility to do/have toast would have been enough really. Also in the mornings it could get a bit noisy in the street below while people went about their work. This would not be a problem if you slept with the window closed, as the double glazing is good.
After reading some very varied reviews on the Hotel Trevi fountain Rome it was with some anticipation that we (myself, wife and two kids) arrived for our 4 night stay. What a pleasant surprise hotels calgary we got!
Our quadruple room was very spacious hotels calgary and was located in another building (probably 17th century), close to the main reception building - the entrance to which was direct from the street. However, the hotel room was exciting, beautiful, and with massive original oak beams supporting the ceiling. The bathroom was modern and of a good standard, even though the water pressure in the shower could have been stronger. the overall cleanliness was good and the air con functioned satisfactorily and was fairly quiet.
hotels calgary Despite the fact that our door opened directly to the street (it had good security lock), we were not at all bothered by noise. Even though there were crowds of people hotels calgary in the area, luckily hotels calgary very few entered this narrow back alley. We had no view from our window (the curtains were in fact drawn all the time, since we were on street level), but who misses a hotel room with a view when you have some of the most exciting and beautiful sights in the world one minute (Trevi fountain) to five minutes (Pantheon) to ten minutes (Piazza hotels calgary Navona and Spanish Steps) walk from your door step?!
The breakfast room was on the fourth floor of the main (reception) building, it was a bit on the small side, with far too many tables and chairs stuck into such a small space - but we always found an empty table no matter what time we had our breakfast. The selection of food was not that impressive, nonetheless better than average for Roman hotels in this price category (I have found even much more expensive hotels with lower quality). The staff were slow at cleaning tables, but again, that didn't trouble us.
