Our stay at The Backbay hotel was fantastic. We enjoyed the location and look and feel of the hotel. The staff was exceptional especially Stephanie who greeted us and gave us great tips on moving around the city. The bar was pleasant enough and
pretty much on par with most lounges in the area as far as price. Although the restaurant was quite expensive for an average Joe. Drawback was no coffee or hot water for tea in room. However there was Starbucks Coffee and teas available in the hotel lobby / lounge which had a very relaxing feel. The theater district and Chinatown were very nearby as well as Newbury Street for all shoppers. The Prudential Center was a very short walk for the healthy. There, one could visit the Skywalk Observatory and do More shopping in the large mall. Very nice stay. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.
I loved my brief stay at the Back Bay hotel! Its well-appointed rooms have everything you need, from a fridge and comfortable bed to a radio/CD/iPod player and large desk with wired and wireless Internet. (Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem
with the wireless, which I found fast and reliable.) The heated towel racks in the bathroom were a wonderful addition, as were the clean robes and thick bath towels. Loved the bathroom products as well--high-quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and soap. Also loved the free chilled bottle water in the fridge.
It is odd that there is no in-room new orleans french quarter hotel coffee, especially new orleans french quarter hotel in the off-season when their own coffee shop is not open, but there is a Starbucks close by and 24-7 room service as well. Hotel staff were professional, gracious, and responsive.
Don't waste $20-30 new orleans french quarter hotel on a cab from Logan Airport. Take the airport's free shuttle bus to the blue line T-station. Then take the blue line T to Government Center. Change there for the green line to Arlington Station. Walk five minutes to the hotel from there. Total cost = $2.00.
have stayed in several hotels in this area and in terms of price, new orleans french quarter hotel location new orleans french quarter hotel and service this is a great deal. the staff from front desk to room service and valet were excellent - helpful, attentive and prompt. room was quiet, clean and large enough
for two. the restaurant has good, fresh, new orleans french quarter hotel healthy fare. restaurants arent posh but nice and comfy for a good meal. Valet is $42/day with in/out privileges. there are a number of self park garages in the one block radius as well. cab stand adjacent to hotel and the T station is around the corner on Columbus. The hotel is a short walk to the commons, Newbury st and sights. all in all a hotel to come back to for sure.
Very comfortable and private rooms. Spacious and clean. The staff is nice too. The chair in my room was broken when I came in. I called the reception, and it was taken care of within minutes. Centrally located, I just walked to most of the places
