If you are planning very last minute then some of our projects may be fully booked. You can also see project availability at the top of each project page so it is best to start by seeing what is shown as having space, you can start by seeing all of the volunteer projects we offer: www.podvolunteer.org/what-can-you-do-and-where.html
Some of our placements fill months in advance and have tight availability whilst others are more flexible and may have spaces. Contact us to ask us where we have placements. If you duration is limited this is also a consideration, many of our placements have a minimum duration requirement. Check out our short-term project page for placements between 1-4 weeks.
When we receive your application we will contact you and provide further information about the volunteer project including a full project information booklet so you can see what you need to prepare for. If you are unsure about which placement you are welcome to apply for two or three of your top volunteer prject choices. Many of our projects require immunisations for travel, if you do not have the recommend immunisations contact your travel nurse as soon as possible to arrange an appointment. PoD has a Total Payment Protection Policy (topp) insurance policy to protect all monies that you have paid to PoD in relation to your trip. This meets all EU and UK travel regulations.
