He received his education at the Victoria Institution Kuala Lumpur and the Malay College Kuala Kangsar. He furthered his studies in the Inns of Court School of Law in the United Kingdom and was accepted as a Barrister-at-Law at the Lincoln's Inn.
Upon completion of his studies, Dato' Seri Nazri started his career as an advocate and solicitor in Malaysia. Not long after, he started his own legal firm, Nazri Aziz Wong. His successful political career let to his appointment as Deputy Minister in Prime Minister's Department, Deputy Minister of Finance II, and Minister of Entrepreneur Development.
