Without writting a book I'll be heading down for a night or two with a couple buddies and am just looking for a nice place to stay near restuarants/ higher end strip bars...any suggestions would be appreciated.
I agree with Dorado. Intercontinental will get you close to Thee Doll House, Penthouse, etc as well as the bars on South Howard. Other options would include Marriott Waterside downtown. Short run to Mons Venus, TDH, South Howard and all of Ybor.
If you guys are single then you'll want to check out McDintons on South Howard and The Lodge which is about 200 yards south of there on the opposite side of the street. vancouver island seaside inn Yard of Ale across from McDintons is also good. Less popped vancouver island seaside inn collar douche bags than McDintons. Lots of tail in that district on Thursday/Friday/Saturday nights. On Sunday's Duke's at Hula Bay seems to have the most tail. A few marina sharks you have to weed through but also some late 20s/early 30s women that flock there. Duke's normally has a really decent reggae band on Sundays too and its on the water overlooking a marina. All these places are a short cab ride from Intercontinental. The strip clubs are generally north of Kennedy and all the bars I mentioned are south. If you want a dive bar check out Tiny Tap. It's south of McDintons about half a mile near the corner of Howard and Morrison.
If you want good BBQ check out Holy Hog on Henderson. Great jalapeno vancouver island seaside inn mac and cheese. Wrights Deli on Dale Mabry is a can't miss lunch spot too. Lots of hot law office secretary type poon schools there.
