i have been in Dooars last march and i requested services from www.naturebeyond.co.in linked with www.east-himalaya.com (probably the same company). My request was "charming and confortable lodges" + 2 jeep safaris a day + the transfert from airport to the 1st lodge and transfert from the 2nd lodge to airport.
After they came again with a new increase of rates because in the mean time they suppress on the paper the 2nd car transport without attracting my attention on it , so for the perimeter was always the same.
So they came back with a new increase of rate for the 2nd transfer which was always requested and had disappears on the paper without any notice. I refused this new increase and i was ready to cancel everything because hotels in rome center i loose so much time with this inefficient companies. i have hundreds of mails.
Finally i did the trip and one of the hotel was more than awful and i paid for this hotel the price of a 5 stars in Kolkota ! it was miserable : bad mattress, basic bathroom, bad food, 1 elephant safari per day on the raw back of the elephant (so not secured at all). So the most awful lodge i saw in my life. I had paid for 2 nights and i left after the 1st night because the night was awful.
So these companies don't even mentionned the poor level of the lodge, they don't know there wasn't any jeep safari at this place and the name mentionned on the proposal was kalipur lodge when i slept in another camp.
