The highlights were, without doubt, the 2 primary schools that we got to visit today. Kicking europeanvacation packages off with Bordertown Primary school on their first morning back to Term 2, we were thrilled to be a part of such a great bunch of kids and families from the community who got right behind the Sunrise crosses and the TdC presentation featuring Stickman and Pitman with a cameo from a random French Canadian Superhero, the likes of whom we may not see again on Tour!
From a huge school , we had the absolute privilege of visiting Frances Primary School with 23 of the 25 kids registered at the school in attendance. It was Oscar s birthday , which made it even more special for him (and us). The kids were sensational and had written and rehearsed a song especially for our visit. They entertained us, impressed us with their knowledge of who we were and what we were doing , and even managed to take on some of the riders in a sprint race. Plenty of potential Olympians amongst the kids, not too many stellar running times recorded by our riders! There was stacks on Dave Curran (aka Cream Puff), which could become a regular morning tea event.  Best of all was the announcement of their upcoming Tour de Frances – a biking event next week in the community where they are going to donate money to Tour de Cure.
Our last school stop was at Goroke College, where we firstly enjoyed another gourmet lunch from Chris and the team from Canadian Kitchens, before mingling with the kids from Prep to year 12. Once again we had a great time presenting europeanvacation packages our school presentation to the kids, who woke us from our afternoon lull with their enthusiastic europeanvacation packages screaming.
europeanvacation packages On the bike we had a long, fast and good day. We started out with no rain, which made us very happy.  The rain stayed away most the day, but its mate the wind made a few appearances. We seemed to settle in a bit more today with each other and with the support vehicles europeanvacation packages on the road, which was awesome. Everyone seemed a little better connected and there were some moments of great support for one another. It was a long one, so we got the chance to have a good chat with the people in our peloton (while maintaining our eyes front and centre  - well most of us).  Mike our uber support crew representative in the cars was happy that there were smoother roads and less traffic.
The best advice Patty Carpenter got today was from the lady behind the bar at the Natimuk Pub that suggested a long neck of VB was just what he needed to get through the last few kilometres into Horsham (although we still don t know why Patty was in the pub at afternoon tea break). And thanks to Bill the licensee who came out on the road to support the riders coming in and donated $100.
The conclusion europeanvacation packages of day 4 saw us enjoy another great community dinner europeanvacation packages with the locals at Horsham RSL, where we presented a $5000 cheque to Angela Meaney from the Leukaemia Foundation for their regional support and education program in Horsham.
