February was another month of sorrow for our family. My stepfather s dad passed away while my mom was visiting me overseas. She had to travel to London for a business trip so I decided to meet her and hang out for the weekend. While we were in London my grandfather passed away and my mom had to help plan another funeral, a little over a month apart. It was a another hit to our family and I knew what my step-father was feeling. Losing a parent is so hard no matter the years they ve had on this earth. My brother was a father and I just hope that when my nephew grows up he will know what a great man his dad was. I know our family will make sure of it!   RIP Bill and Drew.
My mom decided to fly back to the states from Lagos, Nigeria because it was an easier flight pattern and cost of cancelling tickets etc. That gave us a little more time together. Paris was on my mom s list of places to see so we took the early morning train from London! It is hard experiencing beauty like Paris with sadness in our hearts. It was good for us to spend some time together and talk about the brother red roof inn washington dc and son we lost. Our time in Paris was short but we made the most of it.
Our train ride back to London was early and our flight to Lagos was late so we had some time to kill in London. Mom decided to stay in while I went and roamed the streets of London. It was fun just taking photos most of the day. It was a wonderful time with Mom even though it was a short trip. She did make it to Lagos for about day and half before she took off back to the states to be with her husband. We had fun at the market and having dinner with some of our friends. Thanks Mom for a great time in Europe!
