Ever been frustrated to be stuck in traffic? Ever want to go 100 mph on a road like Route 80 or the the New Jersey Turnpike or Garden State Parkway? madrid hotels After all, if you have a super car like a Lamborghini or Ferrari that can easily go 140 mph, you want to air the car out one in a while without worry over speeding tickets.
Two New Jersey State Police officers who escorted a caravan of luxury cars, in some cases super luxury cars, at high speeds last March to Atlantic City, N.J. were criminally charged Friday madrid hotels and face disciplinary act for their involvement.
The caravan was moving through traffic at times in excess of 100 miles an hour with a police escort. Some in the group of drivers, which included former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, madrid hotels according to press reports, had also taped over their license plates.
The caravan, dubbed "Death Race 2012" by some drivers who captured the speeding cars on their phone cameras as they were stuck in traffic madrid hotels as the cars whizzed by, was traced by The Star-Ledger to The Driving Force Cub, an elite New York City-based group that advertises itself as being "for all car fanatics with a spice of racing and adrenaline rush to their hearts."
One of the State Troopers expected to be charged criminally, Sgt. 1st Class Nadir Nassry, has said through his attorney that he did not personally benefit from the incident, and supplied a polygraph test to that effect with his plea. He resigned Thursday.
State investigators are continuing the probe since it is hardly imaginable that police providing an unauthorized and improper escort for a group of wealthy luxury car owners to speed from Northern New Jersey to Atlantic City, a journey madrid hotels of 125 miles, without being compensated in some way under the table.
The Star-Ledger published an article about the incident in April, and soon afterward Nassry and a second, junior, state trooper who acted under orders from Nassry, were suspended without pay. That same day, the State Police and state Attorney General's Office said they were launching a second investigation into a similar incident in 2010 that was captured on an amateur video and posted on nj.com, the online home of The Star-Ledger.
Absolutely, madrid hotels they should be prosecuted madrid hotels to the fullest extent of the law! An unfortunate mistake ??? SERIOUSLY??? So, AGAIN, if a cop breaks the law and puts everyone's life at risk, it is a MISTAKE - BUT, if YOU OR I do the SAME thing, WE are charged with a CRIMINAL OFFENSE and prosecuted!!??? We are sick of hearing about cops breaking the law on a daily basis!!!
state troopers were clearing the passing lane for these guys, it is better that the cops were escorting these vehicles than trying to bust them for speeding! no accidents, no injuries, no high speed pursuits,
It's unfortunate the NJ police officers were more impressed with the wealthy than their jobs and the safety of others. Was it worth it, just to have brag about, escorting those luxury madrid hotels limos? Was the rush it gave the police officers worth it? Of course not.
why didn't they have their little event on the New York State Thruway especially since it was a New York based club of elite car owners with all their money except for what they paid the police madrid hotels they could have purchased their own island built an audobhan and raced their cars all they wanted to
It don't matter what state you go into the cops are always speeding madrid hotels above 80 miles an hour in a 65 mph zone. Its OK for them to speed, but don't let them catch you speeding. They talk on their cell phones while driving even tho its against the law. It must be nice to be above the law and do what ever you choose. They should lead by example since its our tax dollars that pay their salary. I guess this is just the stepping stone to being a politician. They practice breaking the small laws so when they become politicians they can break the bigger laws and get away with it. You know the saying you scratch my back and I will scratch your back.
The NJ state police is a criminal gang, the most corrupt madrid hotels state in the country and bt far the most corrupt police, hard to even call the NJ state police when they are really a gang of murderers, bullies and sexual predators, they all cover up for themselves they are all in cahoots, the police union will make this go away like they do when a cop murders someone, rapes or beats someone,The NJ state police madrid hotels are paid more than doctors or lawyers in most states because of the enormous amount of money they bring in with atrocious fines,You need to go back to the gestapo to find a more disgusting bunch of lowlife violent racist predators
madrid hotels you should call the news and tell them all you think you know which is 0 maybe you got a ticket and that made you mad.. n.j. state police don;t make that kind of money to put there life on the line for you.now doctors lawyers make the money .and hope you don;t get caught speeding on the gsp??????
The AG in NJ should find all of the drivers info related to this incident and throw the book at them. I am sure the cops (losers) have a list of who was attending the death race. It is unbeleiveable that that the AG in NJ would let them go!
