Amtrak is offering a special discounted rate of $16 each way for people traveling between Seattle and Portland on the Amtrak Cascade Route. So, if you were heading seniors rates hong kong hotels down to Portland (or up to Seattle) for a weekend, then you would pay $32 ($16/each way). You will need to book your travel by tomorrow, Thursday October 25th. You can then travel anytime between November 27th December 18th.
When my husband and I lived in Albany, Oregon, for four years my mom would frequently travel this route to come visit us (and I even got to head up to Seattle on the train a few times as well). It was such a fun trip to be able to relax take in the beautiful scenery heading between Portland Seattle.  I found the Amtrak to be very comfortable I think it would be even cooler with kids as you can walk around check out the dining car or switch seats between your family, just to break up the trip a bit.
Both cities are beautiful around Christmastime, so this could maybe be a fun little mini family vacation to enjoy some holiday traditions in a new city. If that s the case, make sure to watch Groupon , Living Social , and Sharing Spree  for any discounted hotel or restaurant deals. Seems a bit silly, though, considering seniors rates hong kong hotels a child takes up not more (in fact less!) room than an adult
Basically, if you take a child, then the deal is no different than their normal pricing. Normally adults are full price and kids are automatically half the price as the adult fare. With this deal, the adult is half price and the child is full adult price. This is the response I received from Amtrak:
