From Free Run we'll move on to The Lemon Creek Winery and Fruit Farm where they have over 150 years
We’ll begin our Wine Country excursion from the Granger exit toll road parking lot off Capital Avenue at high noon as that is the most secure place to leave vehicles luxury alaska cruises and hopefully convenient to all participants. It’s a good idea to have lunch before arriving so you don’t taste on an empty stomach – and feel free to bring a few snacks for the bus, and yes you can have beverages on board too..
We’ll arrive at Tabor Hill Winery at 12:45 where we will be greeted by a host who will take us to their group area for a special tasting and a video tour of the winery. For those who have never done this or who have little experience with how a winery actually functions from the cultivation of the vines to the harvesting of the grapes, to the actual winemaking process, this is a really interesting video. Actual tours of the production facility start in May and go through October while the weather is warm. The charge to taste is $6/person and they typically have specials for anyone who tastes always some good deals!
luxury alaska cruises We’ll taste and browse at Tabor Hill until 1:45 and then make our way to Free Run Cellars by 2:00 PM. This winery is one of the newer in the area and owned by the same folks that have been so successful at the Round Barn. We’ll enjoy their distinctive wines in a more intimate and homey way. The charge to taste is $8.00/person but you get to keep the etched glass and later on at the round Barn, you use this glass again and only have to buy tokens for tastes. luxury alaska cruises We’ll plan to leave about 2:45 PM.
From Free Run we’ll move on to The Lemon Creek Winery and Fruit Farm where they have over 150 years of family experience in growing grapes luxury alaska cruises and fruit. They make some great tasting fruity wines check them out! There is a $5 tasting fee and you get to keep the etched glass. We’ll plan to leave by 3:45 PM to make our way to downtown Baroda!
The next stop will be at Founder s Wine Cellar , the newest Baroda area winery to open and has a great bar and tasting area where you can even saddle up! You’ll see. This winery was ‘founded” by the original Tabor Hill winemaker and the pours here are generous for an $5 fee. Don’t miss tasting the chocolate luxury alaska cruises infused wine – it’s amazing! We’ll plan to depart at 4:45 PM.
Our last stop at 5:00 PM will be The Round Barn Winery where you will enjoy not only wine and spirits but beer as well! The glass you bought at Free Run entitles you to just buy $1 tokens at the Round Barn! If you have had enough luxury alaska cruises wine and just want to hang out at the beer barn, you can do that and just have a glass of your favorite beer. This is a wonderful place to enjoy not only the libations but also the beautiful architecture of the barn. We’ll head back home at 6:00 PM and arrive back to the parking lot at 6:45 PM.
This describes just staying in the Baroda area, but I do enjoy going on up to Coloma to visit the Contessa Winery along with the Chocolate Garden and maybe even Grandpa s Cider Mill. And to get a really good loop of SW lower Michigan wineries consider also going to Paw Paw and visiting the St. Julian s or Warner s winery there.
