Hop on the bus and we'll head over to Maine Mead Works. Mead is the oldest of all fermented beverage

We’ll first meet you in the heart of the Old Port at The Thirsty Pig. This local watering hole prides itself in offering a wide selection of Maine beer, cider and mead while serving up tasty homemade sausage.
Hop on the bus and we’ll head over to Maine Mead Works. Mead is the oldest of all fermented beverages and Maine Mead Works uses locally sourced honey to produce distinctive and award winning wines. Here, we’ll get a behind the scenes look at how the mead is made followed by a private quality inn hotel tasting.
We will then head over to the East Bayside neighborhood to check out a corner of Portland bursting with libations. First we’ll take a tour and sample beer from a true nano-brewery, Bunker Brewing Co. housed in an old brick scrapyard building where they craft small batch ales and lagers by hand.
Over to Urban Farm Fermentory we go. Urban Farm Fermentory produces a variety of cider and kombucha. We’ll check out their sustainable and growing operation and sample the cider and ‘booch. We will have time to also check out the other purveyors in Urban Farm.
Our tour ends back at The Thirsty Pig. We’ll have about 45 minutes at each stop. If time allows, please feel free to check out some merchandise or grab some beverages to take home, we’ll keep it cold on the bus!
